Trees

California Trees held my attention today.
There are so many wonderful trees that I just wanted to take some pictures that might capture their beauty and variety. There are many different varieties that are not found near our home in South Carolina.
A Eucalyptus giant:



Somehow I think of an elephant in this trunk of the above tree:
There are flowers here EVERYWHERE! both wild and cultivated: On the sides of the ramps to the freeways, in yards, along highways and streets; in the faraway fields; on the mountainsides. Just too wonderful this year especially since there's been a lot of rain over the winter and during the spring and especially south of LA down toward San Diego.
