Easter Festivities

The weekend began with a game session with Grandma and Auntie Karen - the Old Favorite Husker Du shown here.
April 4, 2010

After a delicious pancake breakfast prepared by Shigemi, the Easter Egg Hunt began with Mommy and Aunt Karen hiding the eggs while Daddy kept the kiddos busy from peeking out the window for hints of where to look first.

The hunt began with dashing hither and yon and filling the bags with treasures as found. The multi-blossomed amaryllis that Kurt and Shigemi received many years ago as a single bulb has multiplied and offered a couple of great hiding spots. All enjoyed the sunshine and good fun while relaxing in the back yard looking at the wonderful treats Aunt Karen brought such as candy dots, a bubble gun, a slinky and a new outfit or tshirt (Mario Kart!!) and reading the coupons in the eggs to be redeemed for such things as five minutes of time playing with Nintendo DSI (a strictly controlled activity by Mommy and Daddy if there might be anything else of value to be done) and eating 2 Easter egg candies (sugar is a real treat too).
