April 12, 2010Traveling north from Los Angeles toward Santa Barbara brought the familiar and so scenic sweep of the Pacific coastline. We stopped at Moonshadows for a delicious lunch at a seaside table with a view of the surf and seabirds as well as a porpoise diving in the waves.
A peek at the ocean side of the Malibu Beach:
Strawberries were ripe in Oxnard. As we drove we witnessed the pickers with the backbreaking task of bringing them to America's dinner table.
The hillsides are covered with color after a winter of abundant rainfall for the area.
