April 17, 2010We were greatly entertained in stopping at a farm to coax the brahma cow and emus to join us by the side of the road. They must be used to visitors since they noticed us right away and slowly meandered over to say hello even stepping over sprinkling system pipes to do so. Karen has petted and scratched the emu before but the ones today came just close enough so that it seemed possible to pet them but just far enough that we couldn't quite do it. The cow took clumps of grass from us and seemed to enjoy our presence.
Isn't she just the greatest?
