April 15, 2010
Traveling north after leaving Dan and Julie in Santa Barbara we saw an amazing change in the terrain within an hour's drive: majestically large rocks to rolling hills to flat land so well suited to agriculture. We drove by miles of fields growing various lettuces and broccoli among other produce in the Salinas Valley that is sent to all areas of the US and to other parts of the world .




A small detour off Rt 101 to Morro Bay brought us to Dorn's Breaker Cafe to have a wonderful crab sandwich where a huge volcanic formation called Morro Rock on the coast of the Pacific offered an interesting view.
