April 29, 2010Woke to 2 plus inches of snow on the ground in Cheyenne. We decided to be on our way in the sunshine and see what the day would bring.
Visited the bison at the Terry Bison Ranch before leaving. They were close to the road in their enclosure and had more room to roam than the poor creatures that we had seen penned in the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
Road I-80 follows the old trails taken by the pioneers traveling west to make new homes for themselves and their families.
The mountainous lands give way to the plains which are now planted mostly with corn and irrigated with automated irrigation systems.
